Acceptable use & event approval

It’s About The Fun is licensed for events we have approved. This page explains how that works, so there are no surprises after you have moved your vendor list across.

Every organizer is approved by a person

You can start a trial and build straight away — nothing is gated behind us. What is gated is going live: before your first show can be published or sell a table, we verify:

• the legal or trading name of the business running the shows;
• who owns it, and who will be operating the account;
• a website or Instagram presence for the show;
• a working phone number; and
• the Stripe account the table money will settle into.

Your Stripe account is yours. Table payments go directly to it and we never hold your vendors’ money — the verification is so we know who we are dealing with, not so we can sit in the middle of it.

Every first show is approved before it can go live

A new show starts as a draft. You build the floor plan, set your prices and get it exactly how you want it, and it is invisible to the public the whole time. When you are ready to publish, you tell us the venue name and the exact event address, and we approve it before tables can be sold.

Once you are established, publishing gets out of your way. It is the first one we look at closely.

Where the platform may be used

Your subscription authorizes use of the platform for events submitted through the platform and approved by It’s About The Fun. Events in protected territories require our written approval. We maintain the list of protected territories, and we tell you which one a venue falls inside when you submit that show for review.

To be clear about what this is and is not: we are not telling you where you may run a card show. You are free to run whatever events you like, wherever you like. We are deciding where our software may be used, which is a normal thing for a licence to say. If you want to run an event inside a protected territory, ask us — the answer is sometimes yes.

Who this applies to

The policy follows the account, not the letterhead. It covers events run by the subscriber, its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates and related brands, and anyone operating under the account. An Arizona company that creates a Torrance show is the case this exists for.

Misrepresentation

If an account misrepresents who it is, where it operates, or what an event is, we may suspend it immediately and decline to renew the subscription. We keep records of who owns each account, who created each show, the venue address entered, and who approved it — so that a decision like that can be based on what actually happened rather than on a disagreement about it.

What is not allowed

• Using the platform for anything unlawful, or for an event that is not what it was submitted as.
• Entering false business, owner or venue details, or operating an account for someone who could not get one themselves.
• Trying to bypass approval, the protected-territory rule, holds, or any other control the platform applies.
• Reading, scraping or copying another organizer’s vendors, orders, floor plans or storefront.
• Harassing, defrauding or misleading vendors, attendees or other organizers through the platform.
• Probing, disrupting or overloading the platform, or interfering with anyone else’s use of it.

What we will not do

• We will not hold your data. You can export your vendors, your orders, your payments and your sign-ups at any time, including after you cancel. That is a button in the product, not a support request.
• We will not contact your vendors to sell to them. The vendor records you upload are yours and are not part of any list of ours.
• We will not change these rules on you quietly. If this policy changes in a way that affects an approval you already have, we will tell you before it applies.

Questions before you commit
